Our Saltwater AquariumHere’s a picture of the new saltwater aquarium. So far everything is going well. The tank is still going through the biological cycle. Hopefully next week we can add a nice fish or two. The nitrite level is still to high to take a chance. I tried the product Bio Spira to try and speed up the process. It seemed to bring the ammonia level down quickly but not the nitrite. Patience is the name of the game right now. We still need to get a few pieces of synthetic coral to give the setup some color since for now we’re going to go with a fish only tank rather than a live reef set up.

Here is the equipment so far:

75 gallon glass tank with wood stand.
1 48 inch coralife strip light
2 Rena 175 watt heaters
2 Marineland C-360 canister filters
100 lbs Florida Field Rock
50 lbs crushed coral

Bike BlessingThis post was on the old site but I still want to post it here even if it’s old news now.

We were involved in helping set up the site for the our local CMA chapter’s first Easter service, and helped during the service and clean-up afterwards.

We were blessed by the whole experience and I believe all that attended were blessed. Being with other Christian bikers and fellow CMA members for this event was a wonderful experience for us and it gave us a chance to do something for Jesus.

There were about 150 in attendance and we had breakfast for all those who came. Ron preached to the group and Spirit Wind played during the worship service. I believe we had 4 accept Jesus Christ as there savior and more re dedications after the service. Thank you Jesus! Continue Reading »

powderblue_tang.jpgOne of the guys that works for me gave me a 75 gallon aquarium with stand a few weeks ago. We set it up about 10 days ago. For now we’re just going with a fish only tank rather than a reef setup. The reef setup is beautiful but the initial setup up cost is much more.

The tank is cycling right now and should be ready for some show fish in another week or so. I use to have a marine aquarium business in the 80’s and had many saltwater tanks of my own, so this brings back a lot of memories.

To make things much easier for me updating the site, I’m moving the content from the old site to a WordPress powered site.

It won’t take long to move everything over so stop by once in awhile to see how we’re doing.
